What to Bring to a Race
Jim has some advice on the mailing list.
Here's a few things for your checklist:
The actual thing you plan to race:
Racing Spares
tires (at least one of each type)
tubes (if used)
wheels (w/ bearings if needed)
The above (tires/tubes/wheels) mounted and ready to put on car in a moments notice
Backup chain that fits your car (/w master link)
Backup throttle (DEFINITELY)
Backup motor controller (if you can afford it)
Hardware Spares
Spare axle/wheel nuts / whatever holds the wheels onto the car
Whatever hardware makes your brake linkage connect to the brake/lever
Whatever hardware holds your sprockets/pinions to the axles/motor
Set screws that fit your car
Keys that fit your shafts
Any other clips, pins, etc. that fit your car and might go flying across the track to be lost forever
Whatever hardware keeps your steering linkage together
Whatever other hardware your car uses
Mechanical Tools you should definitely bring:
Wrenches that fit your car
Sockets that fit your car
Ratchet(s) that fit your sockets
Allen keys that fit your car if you need it
Reasonable set of screw drivers
Hammer
Mechanical Tools you should probably bring:

Wire cutter
Wire Stripper
Replacement connectors
Crimper for your connectors
Soldering Supplies (soldering iron, solder, flux, etc.)
precision screw drivers

Personal Gear
Helmet
Gloves
Pads
Long pants

The great thing about the PRS is we are friendly competitors. If you forgot something or need something chances are one of your fellow crews has it and is willing to help you out.
